We are committed to ensuring that the highest possible levels of patient safety and quality of care are maintained.  To achieve this, we use clinical outcomes to benchmark results, track changes and measure levels of satisfaction.

Clinical outcomes are measurable changes in health, function or quality of life that result from our care.  Clinical outcomes can be measured by activity data such as hospital re-admission rates, patient falls in hospital, patients leaving without a carer, unplanned transfers, hand hygiene or by agreed scales and other forms of measurement.

Hospital wide, we constantly review clinical outcomes to continuously improve all aspects of our patient care and ensure patients have the best possible hospital experience.

Some of the clinical outcomes we measure are:

ACHS General Comparison Report

Every health facility in Australia can submit data to the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS), an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving quality in healthcare. The Council represents governments, consumers and peak health bodies throughout Australia.

Clinical outcomes and the collection of clinical indicators enable healthcare organisations to benchmark their clinical outcomes.

Hand Hygiene at Lakeview Private Hospital

Hand hygiene, commonly known as hand washing or hand cleaning, is a crucial part of infection control at Lakeview Private Hospital. Germs can survive on unwashed hands for over an hour, making it easy to unknowingly spread bacteria and viruses to others.

All staff at Lakeview Private Hospital are required to practice regular hand hygiene using either soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Both methods are highly effective in eliminating germs.
To ensure compliance and maintain high standards of cleanliness, we have trained auditors who monitor and record the proper execution of hand hygiene practices among our staff.

Your safety is our priority, and maintaining good hand hygiene is one of the key ways we protect you at Lakeview Private Hospital.  Please assist us by practicing good hand hygiene when visiting the hospital.

Hospital Accreditation

Lakeview Private Hospital is fully accredited by Global-Mark, reflecting our commitment to safety and quality in healthcare.

Accreditation plays a vital role in our safety and quality program. It involves a rigorous evaluation of our hospital's performance against the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS), established by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare (ACSQHC).

These standards set the benchmark for all public and private hospitals across Australia, ensuring that we consistently meet the highest levels of care to maintain our accreditation status.
