We are looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist – Oncology to work on a casual basis.
This position will provide expert knowledge and support to ensure the centre provides a seamless experience for patients undergoing chemo and infusion therapy.
The role will cover the following responsibilities:
- Advanced Patient Care and Assessment: Provide expert nursing care for patients undergoing chemotherapy and infusion treatments. This includes comprehensive patient assessments, developing individualized care plans, and ensuring safe administration of therapies while managing any adverse reactions or complications.
- Clinical Leadership and Research: Lead initiatives to improve clinical practices related to chemotherapy and infusions, including conducting research, implementing evidence-based practices, and mentoring other nurses to enhance patient outcomes and treatment effectiveness.
To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 5–6 years of experience in a chemotherapy day unit setting.
- CNS experience, or equivalent, with at least 3–4 years as an oncology specialist nurse.
Ability to demonstrate critical and strategic thinking.
