We are looking for an experienced RN Oncology nurse to work on a permanent part time basis, 3 days per week. We are also open to casual work.
This position will provide clinical leadership to ensure the centre provides a seamless experience for patients undergoing chemo and infusion therapy.
The role will cover the following responsibilities:
- Administration of Chemotherapy and Infusions: Safely administer chemotherapy and infusion treatments, ensuring proper dosage, monitoring for side effects, and adhering to protocols for the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, potential side effects, and self-care strategies. Provide emotional support and ensure patients understand their treatment plans and follow-up care.
To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a chemotherapy day unit setting.
- RN experience with at least 2-3 years in oncology or infusion work .
- Ability to demonstrate critical and strategic thinking.
