Dr Kurusumuthu is a consultant geriatrician and physician. He completed his specialty training at Westmead and Nepean hospitals in Sydney; and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2012.
A conjoint senior lecturer at the University of Western Sydney Medical School, Dr Kurusumuthu also holds positions of staff specialist in the geriatric medicine and medical assessment units at Blacktown and Mt Druitt hospitals.
Dr Kurusumuthu has experience in managing different geriatric syndromes and complex multisystem diseases; he also has experience conducting comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA). Special interests include dementia, behavioural disorders related to dementia, depression and osteoporosis.
