Dr Neshanth Easwaralingam (Dr Nesh) is an experienced Breast Oncology Surgeon and General Surgeon who works in the public and private hospital systems of Western Sydney.
Dr Nesh graduated from The University of Sydney with Honours before attaining his Masters of Surgery in 2020, also from The University of Sydney. He then underwent a further two year post-fellowship training programme with BreastSurgANZ, working in high-volume cancer centres including St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
He has extensive experience in oncoplastic breast surgery, benign breast lumps and malignant conditions. This includes immediate breast reconstruction (implants at the same time as cancer surgery), nipple-sparing mastectomy and breast explants for implant illness (including ALCL or Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma).
Dr Nesh is a member and committee member of the ANZ Breast Cancer Trials Group and is an honorary scientific officer at The Garvan Institute, one of Australia’s premier research institutes.
He is also accredited by the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) to comprehensive range of general surgical procedures including colonoscopy, gastroscopy, appendicectomy, skin cancer surgery, gallbladder surgery and hernia surgery.
He is passionate about maximising quality of life with the least amount of pain – and collaborates with a team of multidisciplinary experts including breast cancer nurses, oncologists, radiation oncologists, exercise physiologists and lymphoedema experts. He is also committed to using the least invasive surgical and laparoscopic techniques to help patients achieve optimal longevity and cosmetic results.
