Dr Sunil Ramawat is a Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with special interest in foot and ankle surgery and trauma surgery. Dr Ramawat is a fellow of Royal Australian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA). He has extensive experience in foot and ankle surgery and trauma surgery.
Dr Ramawat completed his medical degree in Rajasthan, India and his Master of Surgery in Mumbai, India. He went on to receive specialised training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Warringal Private Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he completed his trauma fellowships. He spent three years at Royal Price Alfred Hospital as a trauma fellow where he performed a large number of trauma cases. His approach towards trauma cases is based upon this extensive, evidence based experience.
His experience covers the management of fractures of the upper and lower limbs, paediatric fractures and complex fractures. He has a special interest in complicated fractures such as non-union (not healed) malunion (healed incorrectly) and deformity correction. He is involved in clinical research in foot and ankle surgery and his published studies reflects his interest in these areas. He is heavily involved in departmental teaching trainee orthopaedic surgeons at Blacktown and Mt Druitt hospitals.
Dr Ramawat has a public appointment at Blacktown Public Hospital and Mount Druitt Public Hospital. Patients can visit his private practice in Blacktown and Bella Vista. Dr Ramawat is fluent in Hindi.
