Dr Jinny Foo obtained her medical degree at the University of Newcastle. Dr Foo has worked across NSW in various hospitals during her Obstetrics and Gynaecology training, providing her with a comprehensive background in all areas of her specialty.
Dr Foo is a Specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) which is the highest recognised qualification for fertility specialists in Australia & New Zealand. She has had several years of sub-specialty training, allowing her to give patients a complete approach to fertility care. Dr Foo also undertakes Laparoscopic reproductive surgery, fertility management and paediatric and adolescent gynaecology at both the Randwick and Westmead campus. She now sits on the CREI committee and is a Training Programme Director at Monash IVF New South Wales. She is committed to training more subspecialists in her field.
She has a special interest in fertility preservation and treating those undergoing cancer treatment who may require fertility options in the future. She is caring and compassionate towards her patients and supportive during difficult times.
Dr Foo is extensively involved in the teaching and examining of medical students as an Associated Lecturer at Sydney University. In addition, she continues to be involved with research having received multiple grants and written several research papers which have been published in international peer reviewed journals.
Highly regarded in her field, Dr Foo has enjoyed such prestigious positions as an Associate Lecturer for Sydney University, VMO at the Children’s Hospital Network and Westmead Hospital. She is also the clinical director of Monash IVF Penrith. Dr Foo recently commenced a study on the microbiome of the uterine cavity as the successful recipient of the 2017 Ferring REI (Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility) Clinician Establishment Award (FIERCE).
She is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
