Dr Jinny Foo obtained her medical degree at the University of Newcastle. She is trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as part of the South Eastern Sydney Health network. Dr Foo has worked across NSW in various hospitals, providing her with a comprehensive background in all areas of her specialty.
Dr Foo is a Specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) which is the highest recognised qualification for fertility specialists in Australia & New Zealand. She has had several years of sub-specialty training, allowing her to give patients a complete approach to fertility care.
She has a special interest in fertility preservation and treating those undergoing cancer treatment who may require fertility options in the future. She is caring and compassionate towards her patients and supportive during difficult times.
Dr Foo is extensively involved in the teaching and examining of medical students as a conjoint associate lecturer at the University of New South Wales. In addition, she continues to be involved with research having received multiple grants and written several research papers which have been published in international peer reviewed journals.
In more recent years Dr Foo has sub-specialised in Reproductive Endocrinology, Laparoscopic Reproductive Surgery, Fertility management and Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology at both the Randwick and Westmead campus.
Highly regarded in her field, Dr Foo has enjoyed such prestigious positions as a conjoint associate lecturer for the University of New South Wales, VMO at the Children’s Hospital Network, whilst she also works at Westmead Hospital as a casual fellow.
Dr Foo has attained her in Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) which is the highest qualification in fertility and reproductive endocrinology in Australia. Dr Foo recently commenced a study on the microbiome of the uterine cavity as the successful recipient of the 2017 Ferring REI (Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility) Clinician Establishment Award (FIERCE).
She is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
