Dr Kiran Sindhu graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1984 and completed his Ophthalmology Fellowship (RANZCO) in Sydney in 1992.
Dr Sindhu commenced private practice in 2001 based in Blacktown and Baulkham Hills (Norwest) NSW after several years (1993 – 2000) in public hospital and private practice in Tasmania (Hobart, Launceston & Burnie).
He is involved in comprehensive general ophthalmology with special interests in cataract surgery and paediatric ophthalmology.
He has a VMO appointment at Westmead Private Hospital.
Private surgery is performed at Lakeview Private Hospital in Norwest, NSW.
He has been extensively involved in ophthalmology registrar training since 1993 both in Hobart & Sydney.

He is the current RANZCO Chair of the Examinations & Assessments Committee and is a member of the RANZCO Education Committee and the Curriculum Committee.
