Gastroenterology and hepatology

Dr Roslyn Vongsuvanh is a Staff Specialist Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Blacktown Hospital. Roslyn graduated from the University of Sydney and completed her gastroenterology training at Westmead Hospital and its renowned Endoscopy and Storr Liver Units. She completed a Fellowship in Translational Cancer Research in 2012 and is completing a PhD on liver cancer. Roslyn is a sub-investigator on a number of cutting-edge clinical trials in viral and non-viral hepatitis at Westmead Hospital. She also is a member of the liver multidisciplinary team at Westmead Hospital. She has a number of publications on liver cancer, fatty liver disease and endoscopy and has had her work accepted at national and international conferences. Roslyn is a Clinical Lecturer with the University of Sydney and University of Western Sydney and is actively involved in teaching and research.

Roslyn has VMO Gastroenterology admitting rights at the Lakeview Private Hospital and Strathfield Private Hospitals. She also has a regular endoscopy list at Blacktown Hospital and Auburn Public Hospital. Roslyn is a strong believer in high quality, but accessible medical services. She will be no-gap billing for all her private procedures and provide discounts for pensioners and HCC holders. 

Roslyn’s practice encompasses all aspects of gastroenterology and liver disease but she has a particular interest in colorectal cancer screening, the management of fatty liver disease, viral hepatitis, liver cancer and capsule endoscopy. She has accreditation in colonoscopy and gastroscopy by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP) and a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA).

She has a strong commitment to providing excellent health care to patients in Western Sydney.
