Pink Ribbon Month 2026: Small Acts of Kindness, Big Community Impact

Celebrating a month of community spirit at Lakeview Private Hospital.

Throughout October, Lakeview Private Hospital proudly supported Pink Ribbon Month, bringing together staff, patients, local businesses and community supporters to raise awareness of breast cancer and support an important cause.

From the vibrant atmosphere of our Pink Ribbon Market to the remarkable $30,000 raised at the Annual Pink Ribbon Lunch, October highlighted the power of community coming together to make a difference.

Generosity, Creativity and Community Connection Raised $4,498.50 for Westmead Breast Cancer Institute!

Staff, patients, visitors and local businesses came together to support breast cancer awareness, enjoy a variety of locally made products and contribute to fundraising activities.

From handcrafted gifts and delicious treats to donated raffle prizes, the market was filled with thoughtful contributions from our local community.

Behind the scenes, our dedicated staff and volunteers generously gave their time and energy to bring the event to life, creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone who attended.

More than a fundraising event, the market was a reminder that small acts of kindness can create a meaningful impact.

Celebrating $30,000 Raised for Breast Cancer Research

Pink Ribbon Month also brought an extraordinary fundraising achievement through the Annual Pink Ribbon Lunch, which raised an incredible $30,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

Organised by Carolyn and Erzsi, the event brought together community members, healthcare professionals and supporters united by a shared commitment to breast cancer research.

The occasion was made even more special with Natalie Barr, co-host of Channel 7's Sunrise, joining as Master of Ceremonies.

Lakeview Private Hospital was delighted to support the event through contributions to the guest goodie bags and the involvement of nursing professionals from our Cancer Care and Infusion Centre and Lakeside Specialist Breast Clinic.

Congratulations to Carolyn, Erzsi and everyone involved in achieving this outstanding fundraising result!

Their commitment and hard work demonstrate the incredible difference that community-led fundraising can make.

Recognising the People Behind Breast Cancer Care

Beyond fundraising and awareness, Pink Ribbon Month provided an opportunity to acknowledge the healthcare professionals who support people affected by breast cancer throughout the year.

We were proud to have nursing professionals from Lakeview's Cancer Care and Infusion Centre and the Lakeside Specialist Breast Clinic represented at the Annual Pink Ribbon Lunch.
