the following roles:

Nurse Unit Manager – Theatres (Maternity Relief)

An exciting opportunity exists to join our team on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave for the Theatre NUM. The position will be permanent full time for a fixed 12-month term, commencing early June 2024.

To be eligible for this role, candidates are required to possess substantial experience in Theatres, with a minimum of 2-3 years of proven leadership experience in an operating theatre environment. The NUM (Nurse Unit Manager) plays a crucial role in leading, managing, and developing the unit, ensuring patient-centered care, and achieving a high standard of quality patient outcomes.

The role also requires sound business management skills, with particular focus on financial and commercial outcomes especially with respect to FTE management, budgeting and consumable resource management.

Quality & Infection Control Manager

An opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Quality Manager / Infection Control Manager to work on a permanent full time or part time basis. The role is responsible for the delivery of continuous quality improvement, reform and innovation to ensure best practice throughout the facility and maintenance of accreditations.

Essential Requirements:

    • Current AHPRA registration
    • Extensive experience in a similar role within a health services environment
    • Experience in planning, development, implementation and monitoring of the organisational quality and risk systems/framework
    • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of Risk Notification and Quality Management principles and practices, relevant legislations, Australian Standards and certification processes
    • Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement policies and applications
    • Previous knowledge and/or experience with hospital accreditation with ample knowledge of NSQHS standards
    • Previous experience in policy development and data management
    • Proven clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing and infection prevention and control practice
    • Be experienced in supervising education and infection control programmes
    • Demonstrated in-depth working knowledge and understanding of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care – Preventing and Controlling Infections Standard
    • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
    • Competence in Microsoft Office software packagesReporting to the DON, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

Volunteers

Volunteers are an important part of our team at Lakeview Private Hospital. With a deep commitment to the philosophy of Patients First, Lakeview Private Hospital seeks to create an exceptional and seamless patient experience. We are currently looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers who can live out this philosophy. Some of the duties include coordinating reading material, assisting with flower arrangements and simply providing company.

Applicants must be over 18 years of age, provide at least two references and complete a Working with Children Check as part of the application process. Volunteer experience in a similar role will be looked on favorably although it is not essential.

During the COVID period our volunteer program is suspended. When restrictions ease we will reopen our application process for prospective volunteers.
