Dr Roy Brancatisano and his team at Circle of Care are celebrating their 15th year of helping patients transform their lives through a caring approach to weight loss surgery. The dedicated team at Circle of Care have treated over 6,000 patients and are renowned for achieving outstanding world class results.

“The team at Circle of Care have always realized that safe and effective surgery is a priority when choosing a surgeon and a clinic to refer your patients,” says Dr Brancatisano, “and I am proud of our extremely safe surgical results. At Circle of Care we aim to provide a non-judgmental environment to help your patients with their decision to change their life through weight loss surgery.”

“A majority of obese patients find it difficult to lose weight alone with diet and exercise or have unable to maintain effective long term weight loss, and may feel disappointed with past results. They may be concerned that they will return to old habits leading to weight regain and frustration. I’ve often heard patients say “I have failed at all weight loss attempts and I am likely to fail at surgery too” and “I’m taking the easy way out if I do weight loss surgery.”

“We understand that our prospective patients may also be fearful of surgical complications such as leaks, often hearing about this through social media. I am very proud of my results following gastric sleeve and bypass surgery with no reported leaks in over 2,000 patients. I was privileged to be invited to present my gastric sleeve surgical results in London at the International Federation of Obesity Surgery Conference in London in September 2017.”

“At Circle of Care we understand that surgery alone is not enough to achieve effective long term weight control, which is why we have our in house team of dedicated allied health staff including dietitian, psychologist, physiotherapist and practice nurse to support your patients before, during and after surgery. In 15 years, we have developed and refined our “Circle of Care” program to deliver best outcomes for our patients, and we are there to support our patients throughout their journey.

On behalf of Circle of Care, I would like to extend our thanks to you for your referrals and it is an honour to be able to help patients transform their lives with weight loss.”

Research

The team at Circle of Care believe that evidence based surgery and the need to collect data, undergo audits and publish our results in peer reviewed journals is paramount. Circle of Care are a leading contributor to the Bariatric Surgery Register, the clinical quality and safety register in Australia and New Zealand. Dr Brancatisano has one of the largest personal series of revisional bariatric surgery, sleeve resections without leaks, and hiatus hernia combined with sleeve resection in Australia, and is performing ongoing data collection and research in this area.
