Lakeview Private – Employee of the Month
Lakeview Private is delighted to announce that our employee of the month for February was awarded to Kristine Valdez.
Kristine works on the Surgical Ward as a Registered Nurse and was nominated by patients, families and her colleagues for her unwavering positive attitude and willingness to always go above and beyond for her patients and their families.
Always ready with a smile, Kristine is a wonderful team player who is greatly appreciated by not only her team on the surgical ward, but the entire hospital.
The Lakeview Private Employee of the Month program, is a new initiative that was introduced at the beginning of the year. Lakeview Private values and appreciates employees who strive to excel in their role, treating and delivering excellence in patient care through the philosophy of Patients First; a philosophy that sees our patients treated with integrity and respect and safely and timely throughout their patient journey.
The recipient of the award receives a certificate of appreciation, a gift debit card and is celebrated in the Lakeview Private Newsletter.
To ensure employees are recognised in each area of Lakeview Private, we have divided the hospital into 6 categories:
- Administration, Medical Records, Catering & Commercial Support (Jan/July)
- Surgical Ward (Feb/Aug)
- Porters, Stores, CSSD, Executive Support & Nursing Admin (March/Sept)
- Peri-operative Services (DSU & L4 Staff). (April/Oct)
- Rehabilitation Ward & Allied Health Staff. (May/Nov)
- Anaesthetics & Recovery Staff (June/Dec)
Each month a category/ department will be nominated for the award with patients, carers, visitors and staff in that category/department invited to vote by ballot boxes. A committee will then assess the nominees on categories such as teamwork, improvement in care and safety, customer/patient focus. The highest scoring nominee then becomes our Employee of the Month.
In March it is the turn of Porters, Stores, CSSD, Executive Support and Nursing Admin.
